On The Road Engine Conversions
Propane is the nations' third largest motor fuel source, following gasoline and diesel. There are more than 350,000 propane powered vehicles operating in the United States including; light to heavy duty trucks, school buses, taxicabs, police units and privately owned vehicles. Northwest Propane Gas Company operates one of the largest vehicle conversion centers in the United States, with over 4,000 vehicles converted to operate on "Clean Burning Propane" since the passage of the "Clean Air Act". Vehicles can be equipped to operate solely on Propane or a "Dual-Fuel" conversion which allows the driver to switch between propane and gasoline.

Material Handling
Forklifts powered by clean-burning propane are less expensive to operate than diesel or electric powered forklifts. Propane produces less toxic emissions than gasoline or diesel powered equipment, helping you to meet federal and local emission requirements. Propane powered forklifts offer more lifting power than electric lifts and are ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. Along with fast dependable fuel delivery, Northwest Propane Gas Company can service your forklift needs including converting your gasoline powered forklift to operate on safe reliable propane.

Small Engine Conversions
Northwest Propane Gas Company offers a wide range of small engine conversions including lawn maintenance equipment, power generators, concrete saws and many others. Even these small engine applications can benefit from the clean-burning properties of propane. Propane powered engines leave no sludge, varnish or carbon deposits in a properly tuned engine, which is common in gasoline and diesel powered engines. Engines that operate on propane need fewer tune-ups, running two to three times longer between tune-ups than gasoline powered engines.
